Default radio station loss

My fit lost all programmed radio stations. Just driving along listening to the radio and pffft. All stations gone . Had to reprogram all . Clock not affected . Anybody?

This happened while you were driving? Never heard of that happening.

Only way this is really possible is if a fuse blew, that battery terminal came lose, or the plugs on the back of the radio came unplugged temporarily.

Could also be a really rare hardware failure that I've never seen on any radio.

Also the possibility you switched from FM1 to FM2? Just thought I'd ask

It has happened only once. But, just driving along listening to the radio and all stations were lost. No mittens involved.
