Upgrading calipers on gsr to itr calipers and rotors? need some info
i have a gsr and i want to upgrade to itr calipers. what calipers other than the itr calipers are the same, i know the accord wagon and the vtec preludes, but i need to know the years of production so i can start calling around to salvage yards. its time for me to go to bigger brakes so i need these calipers as i already have the 4x100 11" rotors from fastbrakes.
uhh I hope your doing the 5 lug convertion also, cuz your gonna need to
(wait damnit I read that wrong) oh well

First off, use the search and see if you can find "calipers" in the classifieds. I've seen a pair of front ITR calipers go for aorund $120 + S&H.
I think it goes:
any MY ITR front calipers
any GenV MY Accord Wagon front calipers
'97' - '01 Prelude front calipers
'93 - '96 Prelude VTEC front calipers
Ask Brian which ones require the least machining to fit b/w the Accord wagon and Prelude calipers. He's said before that the ITR calipers require the most machining.
Also ask him what he has in stock...he might have a set laying around.
edit: BTW, next time ask in the Integra forum. You get a lot more help there. Most ITR owners wouldn't care to know much about this conversion, for obvious reasons.

Add a couple more to the list:
Accord V6 (96-up)
Acura CL V6 (97-98)
And these calipers sell for $34.99 rebuilt, lifetime warranty at Pep Boys. Just bought a set of fronts last week. $18 core, but you can turn in your old ones I'm sure. Then just find a set of brackets for whatever model you're looking for.

Hey there, I am currently doing this right now, I have all the parts as we speak. Brian at fastbrakes told me that the 98+ Accord V6 front calipers are the same as well, and in fact are the best to use because require the lest amount of machining to fit, and these are the calipers that I got. I will be installing them this weekend.
Here is what you might have to do. Picture was borrowed from Owen the Soyboy.
Use 93-96 Prelude rotors and redrill them to 4x100. Also locate 94-95 Accord Wagon front calipers.

thanks for the credit MiGs
if you can find '00+ Prelude VTEC calipers you need to add a washer to space them out from the car... no milling required.
earlier Prelude VTEC, ITR and Accord Wagon calipers are easier to find though.
good luck! and the HYBRID website has all of the info in the archives, plus Fastbrakes knows it all anyhow, just email Brian there.

Just go to fastbrakes.com, this is even a kit he sells(the re-drilled 11" rotors anyways). Its the 'SpecR' kit on the products page, big bang for buck, I am doing this install on my GSR this weekend. Oh and I have the 98+ Accord V6 calipers, basically the same, and Brian at fastbrakes says these might be the best to use as well(requires the least amount of shaving). OUT
