Default twin disc clutch question

I just put a Carbonetics twin disc clutch on my b18c5 with a brand new tranny. I'm not familliar with the pedal feel of this type of clutch and it feels completely diffrent than the stock clutch. As I expected its much stiffer but it does not have that softer feeling toward the end of the travel. I put the throw out bearing in that came with it which is wider, pushing the throw out lever further towards the slave cylinder. So my question is how should it feel, does this sound typical?

the clutch seems to work fine other wise and the throw out lever moves with the slightest bit of pedal movement so i'm pretty sure the system is bled well. I just want to make sure I'm not going to wear out my new expensive cluth for any reason.
