Default searched but a little variation...(84mm)b16??

i have an extra b1a (jdm) block lying around and no one will buy it so i wanted to build it up. I did some research on b16s that are bored but most seem to bored AND stroked.
the ones that were not definitive enough to say they were JUST bored and NOT stroked i took as they were stroked, BUT

my question is: Will the 84mm pistons with stock b16 stroke have any adverse effects? Is this a really good upgrade or do i need to stroke to see gains? I dont have the money to stroke but i wanted a bigger displ. b16 that makes a little more torque and is still strong and reliable.

any thoughts/info would be appreciated and "USED"
this isnt a "guess this and tell me that" thread i am serious about this build
