Default DIY: CRX SIR EF8 CLUSTER INSTALLATION???

Hello to all my Honda Brothers. I am new to this site, even though it's been around for ages, but i am in need of some help. I have a 1990 Honda Crx Si. I am trying to install a ef8 cluster that i purchased off ebay. I did some research, and found out that i needed to purchase some kind of switch or adapter? Does anyone knows what that is called and where i can get it from? Second, It seems that the harness or plugs from the original cluster will not fit the JDM SIR cluster. Why is that, and what do i do? I am also on probation with this web site since i am new, so if you guys can help to get me rating up, i'd appreciate it. THANKS EVERYONE

Did the cluster you bought have any plugs? Either way, you have to rewire to make this work...having the plugs will make things A LOT easier.

Yes. It did have The original plugs. But the wires were cut. Do i have to rewire them? Where can i get a wiring diagram, or what color goes to what? How about the additional adapter or switch that needs to be purchased? Thanks

I don't know if this helps at all but when I got my EE8 UKDM cluster all I did was swap out the guts (Tach, speedo, gas/temp) from that cluster into my stock one, seems to work fine.

You HAVE to have the plugs for the cluster that you are going to use then you just cut out your old ones and rewire them. You SHOULD of checked out the FAQ where there is already 5 to 10 different DIY's for cluster swaps
