Default Need help on 06 Odeysey

My mom has a 2006 oddeysey, practically brand new, great car. Now heres the issue: On the dash display, when you go thru the menu's, one reads " Check Gas cap door". Now i checked it, it seemed fine, checked the tiny sensor inside it, and on the door, to make sure it was being pressed in when the door is closed, which it did. The car runs perfectly fine, i am pretty stumped as to what it could be, could anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.

take off the gas cap and put it back and make sure it clicks at least 3 times....close door and make sure you hear it click close...that should solve your problem

Went outside and just tried that, but it still displays the same message; "Check gas cap". Im guessing the ECU or something needs to be reset. Im not familiar with what platform anything 2001+ runs on, im used to working with 92-00 civics, and workings btween OBD1 and OBD2, so the odyssey seems kind of foreign to me. My insticts told me to just either pull the fuse for the ecu, or disconnect the battery, thats how i reset things on any 92-00 civic. Any other input?

pulling the fuse will work, just make sure you have the radio code handy. also let the van idle for a few minutes before driving it. the ecu has to reprogram itself.

Not sure where i would find the Radio Code. All the papers and manuels from the honda dealer are in the glovebox, im sure it would be there, but other than that, is there a way to get your radio to display its code whiles its in? Such as pressing and hloding two buttons. I had heard rumors of holding 1 & 6 or something on the presets, and your code will show, but im not to clear on how true that is.
