Default oem radio maintenance

stock radio problem!!!!!!

when i put a cd into my ''oem/factory'' cd player, it sounds like it is trying to read the disc, and is making noise in the process... like loud spinning noise, maybe? it can be hear for about 5 seconds. i believe it is just having trouble reading cd's. after the noise is done, it then spits out the cd.

went to radio shack today to buy this cd fixer thing (hahaha) that is a cd with two brushes on it that you put into your cd player and is suppose to spin and clean until track 3, but what happens is it takes the cleaning cd, it trys to read it and then spits it out. BUT IT DOES SPIN, im guessing, cause you can hear it work.

well,so i keep loading the clean cd in numerous times for about 15 minz.
get a cd from my collection and it spits it out. (still doenst work!)

do you guys recommend anything i can possibly do to fix my oem cd player. i like the stock look and i dont want to spend the moeny on a new crazy cd player.

Pull it out and send it in for repair. Any good repair center should be able to help you. You could try United Radio in Syracuse, NY. They're a great shop that we deal with often.
