Default GSR civic down for months!! HELP HELP HELP

The b18c1 originally was obtained with a model td44u distributor on it. that suffered an oil leak into the main wiring components and is no longer working.

I purchased online (from Distributor King) a new one. This model has td44 written on the housing. DUH that's not the same model number-I know. What's pissing me off is that the "KING" said "ohh that doesn't matter-all the TD44's we carry are the same.

Hmmmmm........now when i look at the td44- there is a grey/rectangular plug lookin device that has 2 forks on the inside. On my b18c1 I see nothing that would connect to that. Needless to say the car won't even kickover. She tries but its like there's a spark missing.

DOES THE "U" matter in TD44U???????

Help me brothers. Please, I traded an 01 vtech for this and haven't driven for a solid 2 months. This car has everything you could want on it for the beginner. I need to get back out there FAST!!

its an obd1. the paert that i received has a connecting piece that wasn't on the original part I pulled off the engine.

I'm just confused because the part manufacturer said that the model I have is good for my year engine. 94-95 GSR.
