Default Is the ITR oil cooler and filter holder any different than the GSR's?

The part that I am refering to is labelled as 11, and the bolt assembly is labelled as 12. The reason that I am asking is because I bought the cooler for an ITR and my mechanic installed it but told me that it is slightly thinner than the GSR one, and there is a ball and a spring in the bolt assembly that was not present in the type R one.
