SRS light
OK , SO recently i have been painting my interior, ( taking apart dash), and now that im all done and finished, my SRS light is on, I took it to my local honda dealer and they said that just to hooke the computer up to my car it would run me seventy dollars. But the other day, befoore this all happened my battery was screwing up real nice, whenever i turned of my car it never had enough juice to start it up again, so the next day I went And got a new battery, car Starts all the time, problem solved. But My SRS light is still on, And it turned on afftery i charged my junk battery the night my car wouldnt start, what should i do. Some other guy at another auto shop told me to drive it for a few days and it may turn of but it hasnt. Is there some way I can fix it myself or should i have the Honda Place screw Me in the *** Royally. Ok I also unhooked my horn switches and the wire conector from the right horn button fell into the wheel.
ok so if i do this reset will my airbags still work, because if it just turns that light off that s bs i want my airbags to blow in my face if i get in a wreck
You'll definitely have to search around. I was trying to solve this problem recently for a friend and I came across a really nice write-up with pictures and everything, can't remember the site though, sorry, and I didn't end up doing it, b/c my friend took his car to the dealer and they reset it for free.
The airbags will work fine. When there's trouble in the SRS system, it trips a module that remembers that there was a problem, and disables the system. Disconnecting the battery does not reset this module. So, actually, your airbags won't work now. But once you reset the memory on that module, they'll work fine, presuming there's no other trouble in the system.

on the EK the plug is 2 pins yellow plug when you unplug from the fuse block you'll notice that there is an absense of pin in the hole that it was plugged into. GL
To erase the DTC memory and reset the SRS indicator light, first locate the yellow plastic Memory Erase Signal (MES) connector:
-The SRS connector is plugged into the upper right corner of the driver's side under dash fuse panel or behind the driver's side left kick panel.
The two wire color combinations found housed in the MES yellow connector should be as follows:
-2.2L engines: Gray/Gray or Black/White
-2.3L engines: Green/Green or Black/White
-V6 engines: Green/Green or Black/(light green-black)
Once the MES connector has been properly located and identified, proceed as follows.
1. Verify and make sure the ignition is switched OFF.
2. Connect the 2 pins in the MES with a paper clip or metal object.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
4. The SRS Indicator Light should come on for 6 seconds and then go off. Remove the (paper clip) within 4 seconds of when the SRS Light goes off.
5. The SRS Indicator Light should come back on agian. Reconnect the (paper clip) within 4 seconds of the time when the SRS Indicator Light comes back on.
6. The SRS light should go off. Remove the (paper clip) from the MES connector within 4 seconds of the light going off.
7. If the process was succesfull, the SRS Indicator Light will blink two times.
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait 10 seconds.
9. Turn the ignition switch ON and the SRS indicator lamp should come on for 6 seconds and then go off if all the codes have been successfully cleared.
10. If the SRS Indicator Light does not go off, repeat the erasing the DTCs procedure. If after several attempts to erase the DTCs the SRS Indicator light stars on, use blink codes to help locate the problem in the SRS System. Inspect and make sure that all the components and electrical connectors are properly installed and connected.
11. Once the DTCs have been successfully erased, reinstall the yellow MES connector to its holder in the fuse panel.
