I had an accident in which both of my airbags deployed ( 96 lude Si ) . I happened to find a replacement SRS computer and the passenger airbag on ebay for 90 bucks. How much can I expect to pay to have someone install the bag and the computer or have the existing one reset.

Also I want to install an after market steering wheel instead of replacing the airbag on the current wheel will this cause the SRS not to operate properly.

Any advice on SRS and Airbag\Steering wheel replacement would be much appreciated !!!!

 

So you want to delete the driver side airbag and re-install the passenger side airbag?

 

you want to remove the driver side airbag when you just got into an accident? logic? tell me you have a harness or something.

 

Yes, you are both right. I want to swap the OEM steering wheel and replace the passenger bag. I do not race, so no harness. I do not feel the need for a driver side bag unless I find one really cheap. OOooooHHH so scary.

It would make your life a lot easier to just leave the PS airbag out also. You can just take the black cover off and place it back on the dash and that's it. Just my suggestion...
