Just dropping a note to those not on the mailing list.
There will be a meet for any Toronto area TypeRs this Thursday in the Yorkdale shopping mall. We will park on the Dufferin side of the parking lot OUTSIDE.
We will meet around 8:00pm which should give us a few moments of light to snap off some pics.
Hope to see you guys there!
Cheers,

you guys are crazy...there have been a lot of ITRs stolen in Toronto area as of late, and if I lived there, I for sure wouldnt take mine to a place like a meet where it would basically be like advertising that you live in the area and drive an ITR. be careful out there.

Not trying to be a wise ***, but it seems that I might appear to be from time to time...
Nothing has ever happened at our meets that has left me feeling concerned about theft. The fact is everyone at these meets is just as concerned as the next guy and all feel the same fear. We DON'T hang out with the import crowd or expose ourselves as a group to any potential predators. We keep a fairly low profile (except when we travel he he) and don't seem to attract allot of bad attention.
The fact is I have met many good people from these meets who all share at least one common interest. We always seem to have a good time and find lots to chat about. I would urge anyone with an R to come on out and have some fun with your fellow R owners.

BabyNSX,
Understood. To prove your point, even not attending didn't prevent my car from being stolen. I hate to do this to other R owners, and if mine hadn't been stolen, I'd not have said anything and just not come (we all have our reasons I guess).
My reason for posting was to warn othre TO guys to be on the lookout.

R748,
I¡¦m truly sorry about your loss. I cannot imagine what you must be going through. I hope you can recover your losses and keep a positive attitude on things. It is sad that people care so little these days.
It's too bad you never got out to one of our meets.. I'm sure it would have enhanced your experience while it lasted.
Good luck the rest of the way, I hope you find a good replacement!

Im sorry bro, sometimes in here all the sarcasm and the "too good for you" attitude gets old quick and I jumped to conclusions. Anyway just be weary of letting people know where you are going to be with your R. Im sure you already know that, I just wanted to reiterate it. Its only asking for trouble that much more. It would only make it more inviting for a theif to zero in on a potential target. Just be aware of your environment and watch yourself when you are heading home to make sure nobody is trailing you. That might sound pathetic and corny, but Ive learned to expect the unexpected and never rule out anything. peace and enjoy your meet!!
F the thieves. Am I going to hide my car in the garage(where it is not safe anyways apparently)?!?!? F that. I want to enjoy my car. I'll take precautions, but I am not going to change everything around for a car.....it is only a car.

^^^^^^
