need help with broken throttle cable(diagram attached)
yesterday I went to give my car a start in the garage and as I applied pressure to gas pedal I heard a loud, sharp POP. After that, the throttle body still reacted to me pushing the gas pedal, but now its hard and makes a scratching/popping sound exactly where the throttle cable enters the firewall.
It would be great if the throttle cable was popped and I could change it, but thats not what broke. Below is a diagram of what broke and it is the cable under the mark B-23-10. That cable broke right above "8" on the diagram and for the life of me I cant find the other piece of the broken cable.

What is the B-23-10 cable and why would it popping make number "9" cable(throttle cable) make that scratching noise near the firewall.
that would be great as i dont need cruise control. However, the throttle cable is in tact, so I dont understand why it is making that scratching noise going into the clip by firewall.
well thats probably because it all moves at the same time. I don't recall exactly how its hooked up but I do remember the extra hole in the firewall and the extra mount for that cable on the gas pedal itself.
