Probably BOTH. Check the thermostat first. Then replace the stock CX radiator with a dual core Del Sol VTEC radiator. Not only is it physically bigger, it also has the correct sized opening up top to fit the radiator hose from your B18b.

My guess is you didn't bleed the coolant lines...

Park the car
Remove the radiator cap (after the car has cooled)
Start the car
Run the car until the fan has turned on and off twice
Top off the coolant
Put the cap back on
Go drive

Definately DOHC. The SOHC has a smaller neck and it's smaller overall.

Well screw the old radiator. However, will the Delsol dual-core radiator from a DOHC-vtec delsol fit on the existing radiator mounts?? Also someone said 96?? Is that the year to get or doesn't it matter. Will it matter OBD?? Cause of the plugs??

So what year delsol DOHC-vtec Dual core radiator should i get?? That will basically fit right in with plug and play and a little ratcheting?

if the temp goes up way high, but not the red limit you okay. when i did my ls/vtec i had the same problem. the motor works hard now with lots of torque and vtec. if everything is connected the you'll be okay. test your theromstate. if you dont know how do these steps: take out the theromstate and boil some hot water. when it really hot put the theromstat in the water to see if it reactes and open up. if it does your in good shape. if not you need a new theromostates. another option is to take out the theromstate. it will not conflict with anything on your motor. the only thing that you might haave to do is let your car up heated an extra 10 mins in the morning. after checking the theromstates and if still it works and proble consist. get a relay switch to turn on you fan when ever you want. its very importanat that ls/vtec gets to cool down as much as possible.

your motor should never run over the half way point on your gauge. If it is your killing your motor. Don't listen to this jack ***

1. Get the Del SOL DOHC dual core radiator...you'll want to upgrade to this regardless if your cars having problems so its a for sure

2.AFTER you install the radiator see if everythings cool (it should be) and if not replace the thermo...i doubt it is the thermo though...

All of your answers are wrong on the radiator !!!!

First of all I ran my LS engine with the stock CX radiator for a year without any problems, no overheating, etc .... as far as the hoses go, just use screw in clamps and be done with it.

More than likely it's you tThermo, or better yet your coolant is obstructed either at the radiator or along the hoses or within the engine passages. Water pump impeler could be failing as well.

Don't let anyone tell you it's your radiator and you go out and spend the money for no reason !!!

I've had my temp go up near to red once i didn't notice and drove a little (no smoke, wasn't hot enough) and the spark plugs became "welded" to the head. When i took them out (with a breaker bar) i bunned up the threads on a cylinder or two...WRECKED. Now i've got two of them forced back in half way and they're all cockeyed. Don't drive it if your temp is going up past half ..BAD. Maybe some anti-seize compound too the threads would be good...?

Anyway, is your rad fan coming on?

a radiator is a legitimate upgrade to any b18 hybrid currently using the stock radiator..IMO it is worth the money whether my car runs hot or not...with the stock radiator you can run into problems...

Although the fluidyne is a bit costly, I have had no problems/complaints with it so far. I would definitely reccomend it

dual radiator **** aint gonna help man. if you radiator is okay and there is no leaks, there aint nothing gonna happen. and for sure its your theromstates. perfrom that test and see what happens. bigger radiator smaller radiator, no difference its the same thing and perfrom the same. just like a dollar bill compare to a dollar coin. wast your money on a bigger radiator and find out its not the raditor while your orginal radiator is okay. check the electrical first man. the secret about swaps is that people dont tell you the mistakes, because its mostly electrical, like sensors, wires, ECU, or even harness. they kind of want you to explore how much you spend on junk like they do. trust me.. many people here are like that. but i do give props and lots of credit to the people that help me out when there are tough times. majority of the people up in here know what they talking about. some just BS.

You are incorrect !!! How long have you worked on cars ? Not being sarcastic or anything but I believe you need to look at how cooling systems work.

That's why they make Thermostats with different temperature levels. As far as your friends busting out radiators. Hell they might be doing some really insane stupid stuff with their cars.

I have yet to see any of my Hybrid's overheat or run HOT for any reason. Even when I traveled to Texas or Arizona or any humid weather like Florida.

I ran an LS motor w/ my stock cx radiator for 2 years(1 year on nitrous) and I never ran into any overheating problems.
Unless your stock radiator is bad, start looking else where for the source of the problem.

Check your thermostat, have a coolant flush done, etc, etc.
