Default aftermarket head unit in my car

my 01 has a kenwood head unit and the dash controls work with it sometimes i found this little wire hanging out of under the head unit and it is what is getting the signal from the dash controls cuz if i move it the controls dont work.

is this little wire OEM or aftermarket and if its oem where is it soposed to go it looks like crap just hanging out

take it to a audio place and it can be fixed in less then a hour....
but using the audio controls on the dash i think is a waste.. i had it set up on my alpine and NEVER USED IT..... my hand was 95% on the shifter or ebrake so my hand was right there.. if you cant do that your lazy!

Its modifrys dash control unit, it has to be there, its a infrared transmiter replicating your kenwood remote.

he must have taken the phones with him when he sold the car. standard JDM issue..its for placing calls to your JDM midget that also comes with it. Sucks he must have taken that too.

move the IR to the top of the radio and it will work better, the phone line is for a sub control that was connected to the amp.

sometimes when there is a lot of ambient light, the IR emitter can get washed out and not work.
