clutch ? for the pros
i look at the exedy organic and the cm stage 1 and they look like oem, how are they any better than if i just get a new stock one. i am just looking to justify the $100 more that they cost over a stock one.
The exedy organinc and cm stage 1 are very comparable clutches. They both have stock feel. The difference is they both have roughly 50% more holding power than stock. So unless you have some major mods (turbo, nitrous, sc) you probably won't really need the extra holding power. That being said, if you ever plan to add any of the above why not spend the extra cash now rather than later.
Also, if you plan on doing any auto-x or drag racing it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade the clutch.

i do auto-x and i do plan on doing a couple of passes at a drag strip with a 50 shot of happy gas. my ? is, are the pp different than stock or is it just the material used on the disk. i would like averyones opinion on what they like and dont like about there current set up with flywheel/clutch combos. it looks like i am going to use a 2001 type r flywheel and most likly the cm stage 3, just want to do my research of actual users first.
