The alarm is in a 1993 Acura Integra RS. I bought it about 2 months ago and the alarm has been kinda on and off. It will randomly go off in my drive way for no reason at all. I know literally nothing about the alarm other than that it is a "Prestige" brand.

I'm guessing its bad wiring somewhere that is causing it to act up? Where should I check? I have little to no experience in alarms, and I plan on just buying a new 2-way alarm in a month or so but for now I would like this one to work decently.

Any help is appreciated.

 

Crawl up under the dash and find the brain, then post back with the model number...

 

Audiovox AS-9903 is the model.

 

Arm the alarm, wait 15-20 sec. then see how much, [or little] impact on the car triggers the alarm.

Are you sure about the model number, "AS" indicated a remote start, their alarms and alarm/starters usually start with "APS", AS-9903 does not show up when you search for it at Audiovox/Prestige... http://www.audiovox.com/webapp...brand= 94

 

Does the install shop have a warranty?
