A new method of EMS out by AEM
http://forum.aempower.com/foru...885.0
AEM's FIC is a engine management made for factory NA cars that are boosted. They expect to produce mass quantaties for factory i4's and i/v6's that are boosted.
for those too lazy to click:
AEM is proud to release it's new Fuel/Ignition Controller (F/IC). Initial shipments will begin this week.
The new F/IC from AEM is a powerful tuning tool, designed to allow addition of forced induction intake systems to normally aspirated, computer controlled vehicles. It features 6 injector drivers, a MAF/MAP intercept, 2 O2 sensor biasing circuits, onboard boost sensor and internal logging.
It includes a universal flying lead harness and plug and play harness will be available soon.
It can either intercept the factory injectors, adding or subrtracting fuel, or it can drive extra injectors.
It can retard the ignition timing but it will not effect the proper operation of variable valve timing. The cam position will remain correct!
The factory missfire detection will still work as designed.
Look for a street price around $400-425
The PnP harnesses will be developed for a very large number of modern platforms.
The ones slated for imminent release are:
350Z/G35 (all)
Scion tC (all)
Followed in a few weeks by:
Scion xA/xB
02-06 Acura RSX
88-01 Acura Integra
97 Acura CL 2.2L
98-99 Acura CL 2.3L
91-95 Acura NSX
90-02 Honda Accord (Except V6)
88-91 Honda CRX
88-05 Honda Civic
93-97 Honda Del Sol
88-00 Honda Prelude
01-05 Honda S2000
Maybe it just got cheaper to boost
D17's finally getting some backing

yup. basically the guys on s2ki who are running CTSC/VTSC's on stock boost pullies are looking into this so they are able to run higher boost pullies without much trouble. looks like it'll be around 500. It might be another alternative to greddy emanage for those of us with AUTOS that will want to boost and not go TOO boost happy.
