Default about at the end of my rope....

Ok... I've read all these axle threads and still haven't found a good answer. I have DA non-abs passenger side axle in my ED3 sedan.... dust ring is out... and it still binds due to being compressed between 30-40mph and also when the wheel is to the lock going left. I've heard things that I can use an 86-89 outer, but is this true? theres little confirmation in any of those threads to put my mind at ease, and if I put another axle in and it doesn't fix it i'm going to go crazy.
