Will an Accord EX stock exhaust system bolt right up to an Accord lx?
The stock exhaust for my 97 has developed an annoying and loud leak and I am looking to replace it. Figured the ex might flow a little better and if it bolts right up why not get it. I do not want a loud exhaust btw. looking to get a stock style replacement.
anyone try it before?

Umm...its hard to say. I'm looking at the dealer repair manual and there are some subtle differences. The header is different (O2 sensor in different spot) but I think the bolt patterns at the head are the same.
The EX also has dual pipes coming off the header where the F22B2 has only single.
After the Cat though everything looks the same. Don't quote me on any of this but depending on what parts you're swapping out (or the entire system as I'm assuming) you should be ok.
Unless we can get a second opinion I'd run up to a parts store and have them look up part numbers on the exhaust manifold and make sure they're the same. I can't imagine that honda would change up exhaust hangers or anything stupid like that...

yeah im looking to replace the exhaust entirely after the cat. anyone tried it?
Do aftermarket exhausts fit on lx's and ex's? if so i would imagine the hangers are in the same locations on the stock exhausts.

i dont see why not........most exhausts that are sold are only sold for specific years, and not by specific model. I think the only difference between the Lx and Ex exhaust is 1 or 2 tips on the muffler. The only thing you wouldn't want to get is an exhaust off a wagon. other wise i think the coupe and 4 doors/ex and lx are interchangeable.
Hey do u know if an aftermarket exhaust for a 2004 accord coupe works on the four doors? and if not does anyone know who or where there are exhausts for four doors?

depends if its a 94-95 or 96-97
the EX ALWAYS used a 3 bolt flange off the cat to the midpipe. if you want to be sure, jack up your car and check to see what kind of flange is coming off the cat (towards the muffler)
