since last year there so much more photo enforced signs so dat means i cant really speed in my si...does any1 know wut speed the cameras start to take pics? my sis once did a 64 on a 45 and got a camera fifty dollar fine from the state...my friends tell me the camera will catch you only if you go 60+..is dat true? thanx

 

Why don't you just drive the SPEED LIMIT IN TOWN. If this were out in the country, I would say no problem. But when you're in town don't be a douschebag and risk other people's lives.

but i would like to know the answer to this as well...because when the light turns yellow i usually just run thru it real quick if im right there...but now that im right there and i see those white lights under the street light turn on i get scared and hit the brakes.

 

i have 1 month to pay 410 bucks thanks to one of those piece of *****....... cameras all over this piece now.

they sent the photos with my ticket, you can see my face soooooo good. for cameras.
they also send you a link to a video of you. just incase you think your right, you can review it.

i wasn't speeding..... i did a roll stop and made a right turn. got me.

 

i drive safe...plus i wont go above 55 cause of the cameras...im just wondering..its all dat im asking

 

Speeding tickets sure can hurt the wallet these days,even some insurance companys check your driving record every 6 months,and now some employers are doing the same.

 

take it to court and fight it, say its not you driving the car. regardless if it looks like you or not. a camera is not a witness

"Dat" is not a word homie. I highly doubt you drive the speed limit in town if your asking about speed camares.

 

if it's 45 limit, don't go over 55. Cops stop you for 10+ over speed limit, I'd assume that camera is set at 10+ too. I know the one around here will show your speed in yellow if you are within limit, and I went 65 at 55 (if I was 64 it'd been yellow I think), and the number was red. I did not get a fine in mail though. So basically don't go over more than 10 over the speed limit and you'll be fine.

If you ever get a ticket, you should noticed that on the sheet cops gave you usually say Speeding over speed limit 11-15 mph. That I think is the lowest bracket for speeding where they need to stop you. If you go over 16-??? I think you'll be in a different catogory and thus getting a bigger ticket for your cash.

This usually depends on where you live. Where I grew up (Santa Barbara, CA), you could, and and I know people who did, get ticketed for 1 to 5mph over the speed limit since it IS speeding, no matter how dumb it may sound. Of course, cops don't usually hand out tickets like that, but it has happened.

 

wow, suck to be living at where you are man... I blow by cops within 10 all the time, they don't do nothing to me lol.

I was on a 40 mph road, and the cop car was going at 39 everybody else stayed behind him making a huge line. I passed them at 45, and I swear the rest of the guys behind the cops was thinking "man this dude is crazy" But the cop didn't do jack and turned left at the 2nd light lol.

holy **** some courage to drive over the cop jeez! lol i hate those cameras they only cause acidents because the gov is so stupid whY? cuz they put them at the wrong spots i must of dodged 5 accidents within a few weeks because everyone is so freaked out that as soon as they see those cameras the hit the brakes like theirs no tomorrow. gov should put them but in diffrent spots and put warning signs within a few feet to prepare people to SLOW DOWN!! not to hit the damn brakes..... and 5 of those chances are that i didnt crashed but hell i'v seen ugly crashes minus for those lights

 

They have been outlawed in my state due to the fact that too many people were appealing them with lawyers under the constitutional amendment that you have the right to face your accuser in court. And well, since you can't really face a camera in court... they threw almost every case out.

Try it in your state.

 

If you never 'recieve' the ticket in the mail they can't do anything.... I've had 3 speed cameras flash my car but oddly enough I've never gotten a ticket... Damn snail mail these days

 

Well I know where my friend lives in AZ in flagstaff... I think speed limit is 65 on the fwy there but if you go over 75.... dan the camera will definately take your picture!!

We all know how fast we could in our go in our Si's so.. just be safe and keep your car in one piece!

 

highway speed limits in flagstaff are 75mph typically-- some of i-40 is 65 tho, and there are no speed cameras.... only ones i know of in az exist on the 101 and 202 in phoenix
