How do i change the carpet on the front door panel (1996 Civic DX)
The front door panels of a 1996 honda civic dx 2dr coupe....
the ugly carpet...I wanna take it off and put a darker color one....
I have the panel off and all, thats no problem, when I look behind it, there are things that look like clips on glue or something .... can i brake those off, and then glue it back...or is the entire panel one peice? How do people change the front door panel carpet?

other than upholstery shops, people don't change out the carpet much. i've thought about it before and ran into the same problem you are in. got the panel off and looked at it... didn't know what to do with it. i don't think there is an easy way to do it, or any good way to do it without risking a torn up door panel.
all i would suggest trying is recovering whats there with your new stuff and trying the best you can to get the edges tucked in tight when you glue it on.

yea you have to undo the staples and peel the glur off, you can buy some spray can upsoltey blue and you have to reclip it, be carful try to get glue on every inch or its going to have mutiple wrinkes that will never come off due to not enough glue, and you REALLY have to strech it to get it to be perfect, most people i think run red right there or recaro seat material, otherwise run a sheet metal door panel
or dye it balck if you want
