Before I begin, are you trying to get the car Bar'd legal by the state or just smogged? If Bar'd legal by the state, here is the process. You will need to convert a few parts to USDM spec for emissions purposes. USDM ecu, o2 sensor, and a few other sensors can't remember which. Also have the stock cat, exhaust, carb legal header and intake, also make sure all wirings and vacuum hoses are connected properly, that will help pass the visual. Also no cel codes either, or you will fail for sure.

It should pass, but is it an obd1 or obd2 ecu your using? are there any cel codes either? If you take it to a random smog shop I doubt they will pass it just because they know that the motor you have doesnt belong in their, may not even continue the process but not sure. I have my own hookups for smog so I never worry about smogging a swapped motor in any car. But unless you know someone who works at a smog shop then they will take care of that for you. But you'll have to pay them $$ to have them pass it.
