Default staggered wheels and tires anyone running em?

so ive been toying around with the idea of running a staggered setup on my car for autocross/road racing only. dailys are just plain janes. but ive been thinking of getting a set of 15 x 7's at all 4 corners and running some 215/50/15 out front and 205/50/15's out back. has anyone ran a setup similar to this? what kind of results have your turned out? anybody got some pros/cons to doing something like this? like im saying im just thinking about doing it for now

possibly extra oversteer.
its not worth it, the change is minimal anyways.

There is nothing to be gained by this, a wider tire is exactly that, a wider tire, it is not a stickier tire. The down side is you will probably have unpredictable handling, your car will sit a bit differently because the tires up front have a larger diameter, and lastly you won't be able to rotate your tires.

In my opinion there is nothing to be gained by this.

Maybe if your car is RWD.

The other thing to realize is that the tires available in 215/50-15 are not very good. You'll get better performance with a stickier 205/50-15 tire. The Falken Azenis RT-615 in 205/50-15 is a good choice for your stated needs, and offers better grip on dry pavement than any street tire available in 215/50-15.

so is running staggered on everday road dangerous?
Lets say 205/50/15 in the front and 195/60/15 in the rear.

The difference in overall tire height is rather large, in the comparison you posted.

205/50/15's and 185/55/15's would be closer.

been running 205/50-15 front and 195/55-15 rear for a year now..only thing i notice is when i hit the mountain once a while. the rear gets loose on turn (rotate). just takes time of getting used to it.
