I believe that's just for the block as my friend purchased a brand new B18c5 block for 4800 from Acura.

There was a major problem that occured between the seat and steering wheel.
I remember seeing another member on here that had the same problem and warantee covered it.

the warranty covered it?!?!? do u remember who it was so i can contact him asap?
here is what i say to the dealer...
"i was on my way home last night and some ******* pulled in front of me on the interstate and i hit the brakes and was attempting to drop into 4th so i didnt slam into the back of this suv and i accidentally threw it into 2nd. needless to say i slowed down enough to avoid an accident, but this happened."
what ya think? sound professional enough?

Sounds plausible enough.
That guy in reference didn't actually blow a hole in his engine like you did. I beleive he begged and cried enough (and he was honest up front) that they decided to fix the problem under warranty. THey didn't, however, drop a brand new motor in his car.

I think that, no matter what you may say, the dealer will not cover it man; The dealer ship will say something like "there is no mechanical problems that caused your engine mess up" something gay like. But then again i dont know either. I'm sorry but sometimes you got be realistic with things like this. I think you have better luck with the insurance agent. DEALERSHIP FTL!
I hope you get lucky and get your ride fixed ASAP!

The Dealership is going to take a look at your ecu and they WILL find out what happened. Don't lie to them, it wont help you. They will not cover it, but they may be willing to work with you on a price of a new motor and installation. Insurance will cover it as long as you admit to driver error. I was talking to a service manager about this last week. He told me about a guy that did the same thing and tried to lie to the dealership about it. The dealership hooked up to his ecu and was able to see what happened very easily, so they weren't going to cover it. He told insurance that it was a mechanical error, so they told him they wouldn't cover it because the dealer should. He lied his way into a hole that he couldn't dig out of. The manager told me the cost of a new motor installed was going to be close to 8.5K-9K.

Not too bad in damages, hope the majority of the internals can be swapped over.

The car be found on MOBWOrks.com the swap was done a long time ago. The motor bought back then was when B series was way overpriced, can't compare prices back then to prices now. Not the same comparo. Heres a pic of the car. Everything on it was Mugen, car was repainted a few times. It was sold a long time ago as well. Ring in if you see your car Chad.
