Default need help: front control arm joint

so i ended up cutting the damn thing cause i can't get it to seperate. (it's the joint that holds the hub to the control arm.) hammering away the thing still wont move. i've tried heating it but still won't work. any susggestions? (i already got a new one on the hub, need to get the remains out of the control arm.) will post pix later if it helps.

dang man you cut the ball joint? Now you'll have to get a new one pressed in. You should have just jacked up a suspension and used a ratchet handle to separate the ball joint.

already got at new one pressed in, now there are the remains still in the arm. i've tried everything and still won't come out. i even placed a jack under the bolt and jacked it up, the whole car went up with it, i'm just gonna take it to some shop.

Did you try drilling it out?

went through 5 different size drill bits, starting with little one. the drilling would be forever, i jacked the bolt up and litterly the whole car went up as if it were one with the control arm.

ended up taking it to a near by shop and i guess they torched the bitch out. they said it was because part of the rubber boot was stuck and corroded in the hole.

thanks for the link, maybe i should get it incase next time...

Don't waste your money on that tool. My friend has one that I borrowed to use on my car, it was worthless. It wouldn't even separate my outer tie rod ball joints.

I think the jaw on it is too small. You need the OEM tool which is like $100
