Default striping powder coat and polishing metal questions

im looking to strip my password JDM strut bar. i was wondering whats best to use to strip the powder coat off? i was maybe thinking aircraft stripper? and what would be best to polish the bar and prevent rust? thanxx for your help.

Aircraft stripper will work. Put it on and let is sit for a while, then hit it with a pressure washer. My have to do it a couple of times. Then polish it. Use a buffing wheel with a medium rouge, then progress to a fine (jewelers) rouge. Make sure all of the previous rouge is off before moving to the next step. Either change buffing wheels between (I have one wheel dedicated to each grit) or really clean it out.

If you want it to stay shiny, you will have to clear coat it or seal it with something like Zoop.
