Clutch Woes
I put my engine in the car at 134K with a new clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing. 14K down the road the pressure plate went out (clutchnet stage 2 racing clutch.) I then had a shop install a Exeddy street strip clutch and a throwout bearing again. I now have 198K and something is messed up again.
This time I replaced the master and slave cylinders because my new problem is basically that I don't have enough pressure to disengauge the clutch. Most of the time I can make the car shift, but it often results in me having to grind the gears alittle.
I'm now going to be replacing the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearring and possibly the flywheel too.
My question is what else could I possibly buy that would ensure that I won't have any more problems? And what clutch/flywheel combo should I go with? I'm not making much power, and I'm not using this as an everyday car, just a auto X and maybe dragging a little bit.
Thanks a bunch!
