what's my car worth?
i have a 1990 crxhf. I put in a zc motor(DOHC 1.6L, this motor came in the 88-89SIR crx's in japan). It has 30-40,000 miles on the motor, a 9 pound flywheel, performance clutch, integra ecu, new timing belt, si exhaust manifold, 2.5inch cat back exhaust with 4.5inch aerospeed muffler, si tranny, si throttlebody, performance plugwires, all red taillights, ngkplugs, new alternator, intake, oversized metal radiator, and blue valvecover. The car has a kombat front bumper, 5"whitefaced tachometer that glows red at night, shift light, racing pedals, 91 black si wheels, adjustable steering column from SI, a short shifter with carbon fiber shifter ****, si suspension and components, si brakes with powerslot rotors, JDM style corner lights, right mirror, all si options like clock, trunk, etc. The stereo consists of a sony xplode head unit with xplode 6.5s and 2 audiobahn 10' subs in a competition box with a jbl amp and performance wiring kit. Just completed inspection, current through June 2003. i was just wondering what everybody in here thought i could sell it for.

I am thinking anywhere between $3800-$4000. I have rode in this car and it is pretty damn quick. Think about it..It is a weightless SOB with a ZC. (cause it is a HF)
whats so funny...i mean your car is only worht that much if that...i had a civic hatch dx, with zc aem intake, dc header, thermal cat-back exhaust, neuspeed srpings, 15 inch team dynamic rims, and other stuff in it for 3200...clean title...you car has like stuff it should already have, i mean, why would you use SI t-body, si exhaust manifold instead of the ZC...
Trending Topics
i used the si throttlebody because the tps sensor was broken when shipped and the zc header didn't have a down pipe and i didn't have a 2-1 downpipe to bolt up to it.
sorry trinity,
i couldn't find an hf with a zc in the bluebook, thanks for the well-thought input though, i appreciate it.

doh!
but yes ZC swaps and CRXs wouldnt get you that much... id pay like high 2000 for it ...
$3000-$4000 is way too much for your car. I hate to say it but in most peoples eyes you are driving a 12 year old car. Honda's retain value but not like a Lexus. Your car is in a niche market which is in fact cruel and ugly. Don't expect to get what you put into your car. Which is possibly what you want for it. You'll be lucky if you find a sucker to pay more than $2000 for your car. I don't want to kill your dream but, CRX's are cars that you don't want to sell modded. In a buyers eyes, you may have already taken it and screwed it up(sorry but blunt).
im thinking about 3500 as well, because the crx's here in dallas that have b16a's are going for about 4500-5000. so i would put it in the paper/autotrader for about 3800-4000.

).The only thing that looses value faster than a car is a computer!
What I've learned from watching people post "what's my car worth" threads is that nobody and I mean NOBODY is gonna be on the ball. You may have a Modded out crx that could EASILY get 6k$ from a buyer but here people will say... "ahh I wouldn't give you more than 2k!"
I actually didn't look at your car but since some people say 5k and other say 2k you need to just list it in the paper or autotrader for 6k and let people drive it, then be honest when telling them about problems (if they exist) and let them try to talk you down.
Generally I see people selling their cars for way more than the people on this board give them credit for.
Sell high, if it don't sell, drop the price and list it again..
