Put wheels/tires on my car. Now my steering wheel is crooked
Hey guys. I put some blades/tires on my 00 civic coupe and my steering wheel used to be perfectly straight. Now its tilted tot he left some. The H does not stand up straight to make the car go straight. Why is this? Do i have a bad tire or are they unbalanced or something. I have noticed a slight amount of road noise coming from the rear passenger tire. Not sure if these 2 problems are related.

Either one or more of the wheels is not true (slightly bent), or else your alignment is off.
Try putting your old wheels and tires back on, and see if your steering wheel is still crooked. If it is, get an alignment; otherwise, one of the wheels must be slightly off.

I have had a similar encounter when I have changed tires with different overall diameter and offset, not to sure why. It may have something to do with the geometry of the suspension.

My alignment was off a little from before but it didn't seem to make the steering wheel angle or anything. Do you not think a tire being bad has anything to do with this?

I doubt it. Do you have any reason to believe any of the tires are bad, like uneven tire wear, etc?

It could have very well been a fluke. I don't know. I can, however, imagine that having smaller tires sticking out farther effect how the car sits on the ground, maybe it could effect steering. This is of course out of my realm of experience or knowledge. Just a guess.
