Moto gp apex- Any one have this? Thoughts???
DOes anyone have one? How do you like it? Hows it hold up in cold weather below 40 and hot weather at about 90? Hows the weights? Tight? How well do you feel protected in it?
I have the corkscrew. It's basically the same jacket except the corkscrew has a full waist zipper for pant attachment. The Apex only has an 8 inch zipper.
They're both good jackets, plenty of breathing. Leather jackets in 90 degree weather are always going to be hot and sweaty. The Apex and corkscrew breathe enough to get you some air, but at a stand still you'll be warm.
In colder weather you'll be cold unless you layer up underneath it. They only have a vest liner so air goes through the sleeves.
I don't think you can get a jacket that's good a both below 40 and above 90, you really need multiple jackets. I have a textile jacket with a full down liner that i wear when it's cold, and i wear my corkscrew whenever it's warmer.
The fit is fine, but unfortunately they only have sizes listed by "s, m, l" etc.
I'd prefer to have actual chest sizes. I wear between a 40 and a 42 american sizes and i bought a M corkscrew and it fits well. A L would be too big and a small would be too tight.
Any other questions about the corkscrew can be answered in my signiature's gear review.
newenough is still having a massive closeout on the corkscrew.
