Default Bushing Problem

94 Honda Accord Coupe
Replaced my upper control arms with "Moog" chasis parts and bought a energy susp. bushing kit. I took off the swivel arm and pressed out the bushing inside there. Now when I tried to press the new ones in, it tore and doesn't seem like it wants to fit. I've used lots of grease and a hydrolic press but it won't go in. It seems too big to go into the hole. Is this because the upper control arm is not a honda part but a OEM replacement?

Heres some pics:

what kind of "oem replacement" is it? You will be having fitment issues if you use an aftermarket one rather than the one from the factory

Yeah, it was a replacement part from an afermarket company named "moog". I think I have solved my problem. I'm going to use the old swivel arms in the new control arms. That way my new bushings will fit.

it is possible that an oem and honda part have not exactly the same design and specs

I know MOOG usually makes "reinforced" premium parts sometimes better than the original stuff, so it can be slightly different..

For your rubber bushing, you can try freezing it for a while so the material will be contracted -smaller- it might help
