I need to paint this section but haven't been able to get the vents to come out. Anyone ever take them out?

 

What color are you painting them? More then likley you will end up scratching or chipping it and having it loook alot worse. Just clean and armor all it.

other then that if you want to remove them there are clips in the back of those vents you just have to be really careful not to break it or it will never be the same.

 

I'm going with flat black. They are peeling now, i think the person before me painted them shiny black and did a bad job. I sanded it with 2000 grit so it's ready for paint now i just don't wan the vents to be painted too.

 

they come out but they are hard to put back on because they are melted together by the factory.. i wouldnt recommend taking them apart unless u have a extra one

yes u can, i took mine out when i made my gauge pod, but u need to be careful cause the tabs will break, i didnt give a damn cause i wasnt gonna use them anymore
