hey everybody... i have a 93 eg hatch that is currently broken down and i dont know what is wrong with it.... i started up the other day and it just sputtered and turned off.... never could crank it back up... it is getting spark and gettin fuel... i changed the spark plugs and the distributor. all of the fuses are fine and the timing doesnt seem to be off... and if it is its only off like a tooth, which means it should still run.... anyone have any ideas??? thanks for the help.

How did you confirm that the timing is not off? Did you just assume, or did you actually check?

 

try tps sensor? maybe its loose or bad.

 

checked the timing... belt is not lose or frayed or anything

 

How did you check the timing?

 

By lining up the cam gear and checkin the belts.... my car is also throwing no codes... im totally clueless

 

How did you line it up with just the belts? Go rent a timing light.
