As Im driving in 2nd gear or 3 gear my car will make a loud squeeking noise like the whistle from a bottle rocket shooting but it only does this in hot weather and this noise is pretty loud. Also if i shift outa 2nd or 3rd gear the noise dies down and goes away..Any ideas? ..Vtec?

 

have you checked your belts.. and is this the same noise you are talking about in the 3rd thread down???

 

ya same 1 my bad i didnt think 1 went trhough.. Well the only reason I said vtec was somone said vtaaak to a post awhile back.. I thought it was the belts to but how do I identify which 1 it is. Should I just replace em all?

 

check them for cracks,being lose and becoming hard.... ALT belt is the usual suspect in this case they need to be a little tighter then the others good luck
