Default suspension or power?

this is what hapenned. im parked on the side of the road on la tuna canyon till i see a civic si fly by me. i got in my car and i caught up to him. but i noticed that he had alot of suspension work done to his car. and we ended up taking sharp turns and straights. i kept up with him on the straights. but in the twisties i lost him for a while. so my question is. which brand suspension is best for twists and turns. and is it best to get bolt ons for my car?.

Bolt on's won't make your car much faster for how muc money you'll spend. Put that money towards suspension and autocross events.

Oh, and a helmet, my mom always makes me wear mine when I street race. I think it's a fantastic idea, and might save your life.

So says honda-tech.

Any good performance shock is nice when matched to a springrate and ride height that fits your driving preferences.

u want zeals. most other brands will eventually start leaking. also coilovers arent the only thing you'll need, you're going to want swap bars/strut bars. our civics and some other application cars have the asr subframe re-enforcement brace available. lower control arms/upper control arms. also, if you're going to be tracking it alot you might want slight negative camber.

dont settle for koni's they are nice, ill give them that, but if you're looking for suspension preformance, get nice coilovers i.e. zeal, buddy club, apex-i, stance, ect..top doller = zeal, their over 2k

There's only 3 performance shock's i'd buy.
Zeal isn't one of them.

Koni yellow, AGX, Illumina.

its depends on what your trying to do pretty much i would always go suspensions first me and my buddies get tired of going straight so we hit up the canyons now and then and for suspensions if yu decide to go with coilovers i recommend full coilovers with adjustables height and damping dont bother with sleeves thats just my opinion

Youll need more than just coilovers.

You masy also wanna look into getting bigger sway bars, possible some strut bars and stuff like that.

Sway bars help more than you'd imagine. After I got mine I felt like I was driving a whole new car.

Periods and sentences. Are so overrated I'm not even sure why we use them I think it's. So much more easier to just type however you want whenever you want wherever you want to ya know what I mean it's like who cares what other people think right you know what you're trying to say right it doesn't matter what other people think they're just haters after all stupid haters they're always hatin on people I hate haters man stupid haters always hatin on my peeps and stuff damn know what I'm. Sayin?

Some believe that all credibility is lost when someone doesn't use proper grammar.

No, I don't know what you're saying because without puncuation I have to read it 3 times.

And lack of decent grammar and puncuation creates a sense of carelss-ness or stupidity. Thus making your opinion less valid.

But enough for forum etiquitte.

To the OP:

For a good street setup that would track well, you'll need a drop of your choice, an agressive shock, sway bars and a strut tower bar will help immensely.

Most importantly you'll need good tires and brakes in good condition.

This has been covered thousands of times across the 92-00 forums and the suspension forums.
