Default help with civic crank

Im new here so hello to everyone... Im from Bogotá, Colombia, South America... a honda lover BTW but not an honda owner...

Im trying to help my buddy fix his 92 honda civic... somebody told me to come here and ask since this is probably one of the most important civic boards in the web

My buddys engine is a D16A9 JDM

he killed his crank some days ago, and this kind of parts are hard to find around here...

we are not sure what D series cranks are compatible with his engine, considering his engine is JDM... I read somewhere that all the D series bottom ends were the same (of course... D series with the same displacement)

we have track of some cranks from D16 engines in the US we can buy for cheap, but we need to know if those cranks are compatible with my friends engine

thanks!

As far as I know, any crank from a D16A1 DOHC, D16A8/9 DOHC and JDM ZC DOHC all share the same crank. I guess they are fairly common in Austrailia, which might seem a ways away, but they always have the weird stuff one the other side of the world.
