Having trouble changing brakes on '92 accord
Im trying to change the rear rotors and pads on my '92 accord. Im having trouble reaching the 14mm bolts that go through the caliper. Is there an easier way to get to them? Thanks
are u talking about the bolts that bolt the caliper onto the mount? if so, just turn your steering wheel so the caliper faces you.
you need to use a box end wrench. I feel your pain, I have a 92, and I redid my whole rear suspension and brakes. my bolts were already striped so I had to remove the whole control arm. clean out as much of the dirt you can from the lower bolt so you can get the best grip on the bolt.
I get alot of these at work, so I bought a 0 degree offset wrench from snap on. Its designed for brake service on a Honda/toyoto, its a real life saver.
This is the wrench I use rear brake service on most honda's

anyway, the bolt that goes through the caliper only enables you to remove the pads. If you are talking about the 2 bolts that hold the caliper and bracket to the knuckle, you will need to separate the LCA to get at them easier. 6 point wrench will keep you from stripping things. PB blaster or liquid wrench it in advance.
