Default Front end knock?

Searched throughly. All help appreciated. When I give it gas in 1st I get a single knock and then if I let off I get the same knock? On/off knock/knock? One of my upper balljoints was gone so I changed both sides and didn't help at all. Its on the drivers side where I had the bad upper BJ What could it be? lower BJ? axel? shock? bearing? My mounts all feel pretty tight and the hydraulic one isn't leaking. Thanks alot

my upper control arm where they bolt through the strut tower were blown out and made a "knocking" sound from slideing back and forth when you got on and off the gas. with the car jacked up and the suspension just hanging there everything seemed tight. so i sat the front of the car on blocks and let it down, with the weigh of the car where it should be, i could easily grab the upper control arm and slide it back and forth from under the car.

Changed both upper control arms and they are pretty tight. No movement side to side whatsoever. ????
