so my current winter beater is getting cosmetic surgery (rust-be-gone)
and im currently swaping in a D16Z6, for temporary fun.. this weekend i have arrangements for pick up a mint B16a block.. but thats all i have, no internals or anything... im building this motor, and im thinking rediculous compression.. for a head, im probobly gonna get either a CTR head or a ITR head pretty much the same with tiny bit differences. anywho... but i want rediculous compression.. but i want to maintain my stock bore... 1.6 FTW! . what pistons, connecting rods, and crank should i get?.
and what else would you guys recomend?? also after the engine pick up, im also converting it to rear disks, and im picking up the conversion for 150$ can.. sick deal IMO..

I would suggest an aftermarket HC piston with the stock rods. They can take an *** whoopin. IF your going for high comp (ill assume 11.5 to 12.0:1) you would be better off with a b16 head. First of all, cheaper.. good thing... second of all... if your going with HC, your gonna need a port job better than any ITR or CTR head. The porting on those heads is very conservative at best, I saw one the other day, wasn't impressed with it at all.
A ported b16 head with a change of slugs would be all id recommend, you can make some pretty good power with stock rods and crank. 216whp was the most I saw with a b16a, with stock slugs and rods, shaved head, repocketed stock pistons high compression valves, factory gasket, and a set of nasty cams. 11.6:1 compression with factory parts, other than cams and a ported b16 head.
