Default Just picked up 2003 cbr 600 rr with 800 miles on it

I just put deposit on 2003 cbr 600 rr. It has only 800 miles on it and in mint condition. Only upgrade previous owner did was two brother Exhaust. Now i have question. Do I have to install power commander? He is selling brand new power commander for $200. How much they goes for $$
I am new to bikes.

thanks for your help.

Congrats on the purchase.

Is the TBR exhaust a slip-on or full system? With a slip-on, you can get away with not using a PC, but with a full system, you will be running very lean without the PC. Pricing the PC-III from kneedraggers.com is $289.

MSF? Gear? Insurance?

with a new exhaust on a fuel injected bike, it is a good idea to add a power commander. not necessary, but definately beneficial
