well I'm a desperate guy and i went a bought axles. but i didn't get a half shaft.
i put only the passenger side axle and not the driver side. just to see if my tranny works. and it doesn't work the the car wont go into any gear at all =not even a grind.
is this because i don't have one axle connected.???

The bolt holding the shifter is probably lose.

check your shift linkage and all of that. I dunno what side the drive axle is on the B20, but on the B16's the drive axle is the passenger side axle, so I'd say connect both axles first.

Not sure how you figure that the axles have anything to do with the car going or not going into gear. That's not the problem though.
Sounds like one of 2 problems.
A) The shift linkage is loose, improperly connected, or NOT connected.
B) Your clutch lines aren't connected properly or have a leak/water in the system, something of the sort.

Do you have the "bitch" pin installed correctly? It sounds like you dont, take a picture of where its all connecting to the trans, i think you messed something up.

now are you saying it wont go into gear becaus the car wont move? or it should go into gear if everything connected to the clutch is done right
and your see this big bolt that looks out of place, you should replace that with the factory pin, ive done that before multiple times and its a BITCH to fix on the road if comes loose, and it could get it the way of shifting

and jsut so we are clear, the car is not going to move without the axles complete, as for gears just not clean id have to feel what the shifter and clutch pedal feel like
your problem is most likely that bolt.
can you find the H pattern in the gear select, or is it going into gear but not moving?

well it didn't even go into gear.
well it didn't even go into gear.
Told you it was a bitch pin problem. Was this car going through an Auto to Manual? Also go to your local dealer and get a spring pin (bitch pin) and fix this.

for answers desperately needed.
