Default New Car Decision - 2007 Accord

Decisions - Decisions ?!?!?!
I am considering purchasing a 2007 accord and wanted to get some other opinions.
We have looked at the camery & accord. I have been a long term accord owner since 1980 something. This will be our 4th accord.
We are looking at the Accord EX-L (4cyl - 5sp manual).

I have heard that next year they are coming out with a new design, but from what I have been able to find on the internet, I'm not sure I like the style.
I am also hesitant to buy a first year release of any car due to potential bugs.

I have heard something about a class action law suit with the odometer.

I don't think I can go wrong with either car.
Toyota does not offer the EX features in the 4cyl-5sp manual, so that kinda knocks toyota out of the picture, since toyota only offers basic features in the manual transmission.

We have always considered that the performance of the 4cyl manual is as good as the 6cyl auto, but the 4cyl gets much better gas mileage.

Any opinions welcome.
Thanks

The Camry is in it's first year of a redesign, and I believe that it has a new engine. That spells trouble for transmissions (though this really wouldnt' be an issue if you are getting the 5-speed manual).

Look at it this way, the Honda is in its fifth year of this design, any problems were worked out long ago.

For what it's worth, my mom was looking at both cars also (though with automatic transmission), she ended up going with the Accord SE. Her old car was a Toyota Camry ('95).

i got my 04 4dr sedan (k24a4 5spd.) in 05.
i still visit honda-tech but i also go to gen7accord.net as well.
a lot of gen7accord owners were saying that the accords with the 4cy/k24 have more aftermarket support over the accords with the v6's.

The odometer law suit will probably not affect much, if anything.

I have an 03 V6, and the performance is much better than the 4cyl., especially with the 6speed manual. The mileage with the 4cyl. is not that much better. There is not much aftermarket stuff for the V6, but then with that much power you don't need any performance mods.
