Ok, I searched but all I came up with was info about lips....I probably put the wrong search words in. Will rims off a 1994 Jetta work on a 1988 Hatch or the other way around.

 

I did some searching and I think I found my answer but any other help would be great. They are both 4x100

 

The bolt pattern will match but either the offset (how deep or how flush the wheel is) may be different and the center bore may be smaller or larger. Best way if you can is to test fit and make sure the wheel sits flush against the hub.
