B20 piston pin removal???
i want to change piston pins on my stock B20. i asked the machine shop to do but he said he can do it but doesnt know if can reuse the pistons, he has to look at them first. why is this???? my pistons and rods are in good shape but i think there are problems with the pins. i have never dealed with internal mods like this . i am very confused. please anybody help. thanks.
most of the time when a machine shop presses the pins out the piston gets damaged. some shops may have a technique to remove the pins without damaging the piston. you need to take them to the shop and ask them if they can.
most of the time people just remove the stock pistons and toss them anyway. a set of good forged aftermarket pistons is not very expensive for honda's......you are better off buying a set of forged pistons anyway.
