Default Type R 22mm Sway Bar used with Comptech Rear Tie Bar??

I was thinking of getting the ASR rear subframe brace with the Type R sway bar but found out that you had to drill out one of the holes for a plate that ASR supplies. But, then I was also considering the Comtech Sway/Tie Bar Combo. If I got the Comptech rear tie bar for the combo instead of the sway bar with it and use a USDM Type R sway bar with it, will that work? or is there modification needed using oem parts for the sway bar?

TIA
Johnny

If you are going to use the Comptech tie bar, why not use the Comptech swaybar as well? It is stiffer than the ITR bar, and is adjustable.

The comptech is adjustable. I believe that the stiffest setting is stiffer than the ITR, I don't know by how much though.

I'm running that exact setup, no issues. Big plus is no noise from the hemi-endlinks that Comptech uses. Also the hemi-endlink tend to seize or get sloppy in my climate.

I had to buy some hardware (screws, energy d-brackets) since the tie-bar I got from Comptech was bare.

The answer is yes, I have a Comptech Tie Bar and ITR rear sway. I chose Energy d-brackets and bushing because they're cheaper than OEM stuff. Screws are generic. Found the link that gave me the idea.

i was going to go with asr w/ type r sway or with comptech tie bar sway combo but found out asr requires drilling out a threaded hole limiting it to ever go back to stock again if i ever decide to do so. comptech does not require drilling i believe unless someone can confirm that. with the comptech tie bar added w/ a type r sway bar i can also probably save some extra money than buying the whole combo

if your putting the asr or beaks kit, there going to be drilling needed to enlarge holes or remove tac welds. Comptech is easy as bolting on.

There are some clones being made right now. RCrew makes one that is styled off of the comptech

A month or two ago that was true. But they're back. From what I know new management.

And yes it will work.

ok what car are you putting this on?? asr parts do not require any drilling. im using the asr brace with the usdm itr bar on my 98 civic hatchback. everything was direct bolt on.
the comptec bar might be solid where as the oem bar might be hollow...but dont quote me on that.
personally i think the asr brace design will be more effective than the comptec brace. the sway is up to you...if you have an ek, you can use the ctr bar or the itr bar..they both work.

asr & beaks i believe require drilling on both eg/dc chassis. Comptech is direct bolt on.

it will be put on a dc chassis, and the asr brace requires minor drilling of one of the threads in the subframe so the metal plates they supply will bolt up correctly i believe. i know that comptech does not require drilling, that is why i would rather have that just in case i ever want to go back to stock.
