temp. fix for an injector o-ring tear?
anyone got a temp. fix that will stop fuel from leaking? I tore one but won't be able to get a new one until Monday but I need to drive the car tonight. I'd rather not drive around leaking fuel all over the place
Check the o-ring selection at the auto parts places in your area. They should have one the same size or close to it instead of going to the dealer. Here in CA we have some auto parts places that are 24 hours. Good luck.
use some rubber cement it will provide a tempory patch it should last a few hours as long as it doesn't over heat in your engine or just buy a o ring thats easyier
is it actually leaking or you assume it will because its slightly torn? Try it first. I have seen slightly torn o-rings seal fine.
You might want to buy the fuel injector kit. It comes with the o-ring and a few other gasket replacements. You can find these at any auto-supply shop.
