Drum brakes suck
took me like an hour and a half to change the shoes on the first side I tried. Those are the most complicated contraptions I have ever seen(I've never changed drum brakes before). The job probably took me about 3 hours total, but after I bled them, they worked perfectly.
Anybody in Austin, TX got a rear disc conversion they want to sell me.

seriously. When i had to replace mine i got a call for a job interview and being as it was my only mode of transport i had to say no becuase i was only half way done. well just be glad that a crx is small and easy to work on. my dad had to fix the ones on his truck and it took him all day. every single spring was damn neat impossible to stretch.
If you are interested and you dont know who Tyrone is I would give him a call. His shop is in Round Rock and he does most the "smart import" drivers work. He is good at what he does and doesnt rape you like Pro-Tech.

what tools do you need? because im plannin to do mine also. my drum brakes are a bitch! its been giving me lots of problems!
Drum disk last alot longer then disk and rotors. Thats why I'm keeping my drums. I worked at pep boys for 3 years and drums last alot longer then disk. Even though disk look better, I'm trying to save money. So I can buy other mods
ha, i did mine two days ago cuz i failed inspection cuz of em. took me about 45 minutes both sides..only cuz i had brake fluid spray in my freakin eye and i had to flush it out cuz it hurt.
wasn't too bad though..i didn't even take the hubs off..i think it's easier that way.
