Default Messed up Big time

My friend and I are doing a B18C1 swap into his 91' CRX DX. We thought we could adapt the harness to work with the motor without buying any kind of adapters. We were wrong. So now that the DX harness was junk, we bought a harness from an 89' CRX HF. When we attempted to put it in, we saw that alot of the connectors by the fuse block and intrument panel were not matching up.
We turn the ignition on and all kinds of weird things happen : the main relay keeps clicking and won't stay on, the instrument cluster lights up when it shouldn't, the tail lights stay on constant, ect..

Were we mislead into thinking that an 89' HF harness would work in a 91' DX.

PS - We have the engine completely wired up without any problems, as far as we know..

you are going to have to read the pinouts of the dx and hf harnesses and compare them.. or get another 89-91 dx and modify it for mpfi

Well I cannot use the original stock harness because I destroyed it. I know now that I should not have played with it, but that's in the past and I'm not gonna dwell on it. Does anyone know where I can find a chassis harness for a 91' CRX DX? I can't find one anywhere..

Seriously, find a harness from the exact year and model car you have and use that.
