GReddy SP2 Exhaust Installed Today
I posted here about the great deal I got on the SP2 from ebay for $243.50. It came in on Tuesday and I just got back from my friends shop where I put it in. It was very easy to do and looks great. Just a little bit louder than stock at half throttle (normal acceleration) and sounds completely stock at full throttle (all you hear is the intake). I'm very happy overall, can't feel much of a difference which I expected. I know the true gains will happen when I get a race header and reflash. I have no idea how to post pics here, but I will include a link to the auction I won if is still works.

I would def want my after market exhaust to be louder then stock so i can hear more of the motor etc if it sounds like stock then whats the point really it will flow better but i would want some sound to go with that just my opinion.

Yes it is inner. When I measuered it it came out to be almost a full 2.5" at all the openings. (which equates to the 2.36...) You can really see the difference in the piping on this one vs. the stock one from the cat-axle. But as you probably already know the stock axle back is already 2.25" so not much of a difference there.
is this sp2 for a 00 civic si? if so, i just wanted to know if the diameter is 2.5 so i can connect an itr header. but if i do should i change my stock cat out to a bigger one or is that 2.5 also?

You know.. a major point of upgrading the exhaust is for performance, not so you can make your car look and sound like a rice-machine.

But the Skunk2 offers the best gains for this car and sounds the best the only thing close is the AJP for numbers if you drove it in person you would change your Mind
im glad at least two members have confirmed that this exhaust is close to stock sound. been looking for exhausts that are close to stock but will put out the numbers.
<mainly looking for performance.

Do you have any numbers of this to back it up, or are you just saying this because it's the loudest exhaust on the market?
I doubt I would change my mind because the last thing I want is everyone staring at me while I'm driving, which is inevitable with the skunk2. If you like the kind of attention, then I guess it's the exhaust for you. However, I don't like to be one who contributes to the whole 'ricer' image that everyone associates honda with, so I'll avoid the excessively loud exhausts for now.

The Sp2 is cool and so is the legal speed designs exhaust. My buddy just got the legal speed designs on his Si and its a very Mild tone (just slightly louder then the sp2). You can definitely feel the freed up power on the butt dyno and its a full 2.5" exhaust. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I just pulled 190hp 140tq with just Injen sri and Skunk2 exhuast so yes i can back it up every 1 there was very impressed with the numbers Skunk2 FTMFW !
Every time a fellow SI owner hears the Skunk2 in person they want it right away this is no BS and i have plenty of SI friends to back up these statements i know the loud exhaust is not for you but bigger piping is the way to go. I had a freind also dyno that day with custom 3'' piping from his DC header to the stock axelback and Fugita sri he pulled 197hp 142tq so the K series loves big piping.

Dude you have to stop saying FTMFW!!!! after everything you write. Yes, you like it, however I would noto say Skunk2 ftw when I think they suck.. so obviously they aren't 'the win' if not everyone likes it.
A 190 WHP isn't that much when a fair amount of people dyno at ~185 whp stock. You're gaining MAYBE 8 whp from an intake and exhaust. Sweet? I'm not sure what to say.. definitely nothing to brag over. And definitely (imo) not worth the obnoxious droning you'll incur from buying the skunk2.
Also, look what you said about your friend dynoing 197/142 with intake/header/exhaust. Considering he's only 7 whp above yours, and he has a header, again I say 'congratulations, that's nothing to brag over'. In fact, that's the first time I've seen such an appallingly shitty gain from the DC header.
